New Front Yard
I may not have been harping on about my front yard but it has always been something I could not figure out. There were cedars there and Amur Privets that I didn't want to take out - I just dislike uprooting plants that are well established.
Nonetheless I have plants coming in from Montreal that I needed to plant. There are hardly any space in the backyard and for maybe it was time to make some room in the front.
Front yard design is tough as everyone can see it unlike the backyard. I have to make sure that it's at least neat throughout the year. Evergreens are a must as I am not so keen on dead looking stems in the winter.

Front Yard

Yahoo! Ryan and I are so happy with the work! Now, it's cleaner and so much easier to work with. We also love the hedge in the front - hopefully it just prevents some things flying into our yard. The only hard part is choosing the plants to fill the plot against the wall.

BEFORE SHOTS
Today, we have our landscaper, Roger, do some work on the front yard. He would be transplanting 3 plants to create an instant hedge. Ryan likes this as it would prevent the wind blowing unwanted items into our property. Being an end unit, we get all the junk! Roger is going to get rid of a diseased rose bush for us and clear the uneven retaining wall. Total cost is yet to be determined but I can't wait to see it when I get home.
